‘Response Art’

Using Art-making as a Clinical Tool for Self-care and Insight

My aim is to support the well-being of psychotherapists, counsellors and anyone who works regularly with human suffering and trauma. I do so by introducing them to a practical, useful and readily available self-care tool which they can use regularly as part of their practice.

I use creative, art-based techniques from the world of art-psychotherapy to enable therapists to become aware, express and release any emotional or somatic tensions caused by their work. This clinical use of art-making by the therapist is called ‘Response Art’ and it is often used by art therapists after sessions.

You absolutely do not need to be creative or have any previous art experience in order to use this technique.

I offer one to one sessions, online groups or CPD workshops for organisations. It is best to contact me to hear more.
